SGA announces new "Food Recovery Project," looking for active volunteers

posted Apr 16, 2012, 6:27 AM by sworley3@slu.edu
The Student Government Association is proud to introduce a new partnership between Campus Kitchen and Billiken Dining Services! Thanks to the hard work of the students on the SGA Food Committee, the leftovers from Griesedieck Dining Hall will be donated regularly to Campus Kitchen, currently operating in Reinert Hall. The leftovers will be cooled, prepared into meals and donated to agencies and individuals in need.

Currently, we are looking for volunteers to assist in transporting leftovers from Griesedieck to Reinert, so that the leftovers can be used for this project. If students are interested in volunteering via Alpha Phi Omega, this project will be integrated as a continuous service project. If you are intersted in volunteering otherwise, please email Senator Krishi Peddada via kpeddada@slu.edu
