Annual Funding

The timeline for the 2018 Annual Funding process (period to request funding for FY18 or the 2017-2018 academic year) is located below in the downloads section, along with the FY18 Annual Funding Directives. Attendance requirements and deadlines marked on the timeline must be met in order for a CSO to receive funding from SGA. This timeline was sent out to all CSO Presidents and Treasurers via email. If you are a CSO President or Treasurer and did not receive this timeline, please email sga.finance@slu.edu.

                                                                                                        Kick-Off Informational

Attendance to only one meeting is required to receive funds for the following fiscal year. It is preferred that the President and/or Treasurer (or equivalent title) attend this meeting. Failure to have a representative from the CSO in attendance at this meeting will disqualify the CSO in question for funds for the following fiscal year. The process for submitting an annual budget to SGA will be explained during this time.

Accessing Your CSO's Funds

Please use the following CSO Staff Financial Advisors to access funding from your SGA-approved budget. These advisors can be used for pre-planned purchases or reimbursements:

Club Sports: Carol Cote
Parks College CSOs: Ann Scales
Multicultural CSOs: Luis Garay
Remaining CSOs: SIC Staff

Spot Funding

Spot Funding is available to CSOs only for unforeseeable expenses that could not have been budgeted for during the time of Annual Funding. Attached below are the Spot Funding Directives which were passed by Senate in September. These directives are the official basis by which the Finance Committee and the SGA Senate make all their Spot Funding decisions. If you would like to submit a Spot Funding request, please download and complete the Spot Funding Budget Template at the bottom of this page. Once the budget is completed, please email it to the VP of Finance at sga.finance@slu.edu to organize a time to meet with the Finance Committee to review your request. The Finance Committee meets every Sunday in the SGA office from 5:00-6:30pm, and a meeting time for your CSO will be arranged within that period. For help or questions regarding Spot Funding requests, please contact your Funding Buddy.

Wellness Funding

Wellness Funding is available to all SLU students and CSOs and is reserved for initiatives that promote wellness on campus in terms of mind, body, and spirit. The application is available for download below. Please contact sga.wellness@slu.edu for more details or to submit an application.
